Okučani to Novska Railway Rehabilitation and Upgrade
The reconstruction of the railway section comprises 2 parts: modernization of the Okučani – Novska interstation distance (ca. 16.8 km) and the reconstruction of the Okučani station (ca. 3 km in length).
The Project is co-financed by the EU pre-accession program IPA (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance), out of which 85% is IPA grant and 15% Croatian national budget.
The following contracts have been awarded through international tendering carried out during 2012:
- Execution of works on the track, civil-engineering an electric-engineering installations (Contract value € 25,726,700.00) awarded to the company Salcef Costruzioni Edili e Ferroviarie S.p.A., Italy. The works comprise overhaul of the open line, including renewal of the substructure, culverts, drainage system, OCL alignment, reconstruction of the Okučani station and the Rajić halt.
- Execution of works on the signalling and interlocking and telecommunication devices (Contract value € 8,566,800.00) awarded to the company BOMBARDIER TRANSPORTATION ITALY S.p.A. The works comprise rehabilitation of the signalling and interlocking devices, installation of the automatic block device for two-way traffic, installation of ETCS level 1, renewal of the existing road level crossings and renewal of the existing telecommunication system.
- Rehabilitation and reconstruction works supervision (Contract value € 1,812,481.00) awarded to the company DB INTERNATIONAL GmbH (Germany) in consortium with the company GRANOVA d.o.o. (Croatia). The contract comprises supervision services of the works performed on the track, civil-engineering and electric-engineering installations (FIDIC Red Book, 1999), as well as supervision of the works performed on signalling and interlocking devices (FIDIC Yellow Book, 1999).
