Preparation of the preliminary design for the new doubletrack railway line on section Skradnik – Krasica – Tijani

Section Skradnik – Krasica – Tijani (72.2 km) is an integral part of the main corridor railway line for international traffic M202 Zagreb GK – Rijeka on the corridor RH2 and is also part of the section Rijeka – Zagreb – Budapest on the Mediterranean corridor.

On 19 October 2023 HŽ Infrastruktura d.o.o. signed the Grant Agreement 101122629 – 22-HR-TC-SKRKRTI as part of the Connecting Europe Facility Transport Sector (CEF – Connecting Europe Facility) with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). The value of the Grant Agreement is EUR 5.8 million, of which EUR 4.9 million, or 85 percent, is co-financed from CEF and the remaining amount of EUR 0.9 million, or 15 percent, is co-financed from the State Budget of the Republic of Croatia.

The Grant Agreement covers the following activities:

1. Project management, publicity and visibility
2. Preliminary Design with obtaining Location Permit

On 4 November 2024 HŽ Infrastruktura signed the Contract for preparation of preliminary design with a consortium consisting of GRANOVA d.o.o., ŽPD d.d., BBD – Bridge & Building Design d.o.o., GEOTEHNIČKI STUDIO d.o.o. in the amount of EUR 2.9 million.

The Contract includes the preparation of the following:

1. implementation of all preparatory works
2. preparation of Preliminary Design
3. obtaining Location Permit

Preparation of Preliminary Desing and obtaining Location Permit provides the basis for the next phase of implementation of project documentation, i.e. preparation of Main Design with obtaining all necessary permits and property rights.
