The aim of the Project is preparation of project documentation (studies, preliminary designs and main designs), including a draft application and tender documentation as a precondition for the phase of works, and to be able to apply the project for European co-financing of the works for reconstruction of the existing and construction of the second track of the railway line on the section Križevci – Koprivnica – state border.
The design contract was concluded on December 10, 2012 with the consortium consisting of AECOM Polska Sp. Zoo (formerly URS Polska Sp. Zoo), AECOM Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited (formerly URS Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited) and IDOM Ingenieria y Consultoria SA in the value of EUR 5,300,000.00, and the final contracted value is EUR 5,522,642.25.
The project is co-financed from the Regional Development Fund (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance – IPA /Transport Operational Programme – TOP).
The project was completed in 2019.
The following project documentation and permits were prepared within the Project:
- Feasibility Study
- Cost-Benefit Analysis
- Environmental Impact Assessment
- Preliminary design including obtaining a location permit
- Main design including obtaining building permits
- Draft application for project application for EU co-financing
- Draft documentation for the works tender.
Following the completion of the preparation of the project documentation, the preconditions for the performance of works have been provided, thus continuing the modernization of the part of the Mediterranean Corridor in the Republic of Croatia.
The project “Reconstruction of the existing track and construction of the second track on the section Križevci – Koprivnica – state border” (Croatia/Hungary) in the amount of EUR 344,427,406.33 will be co-financed both from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and the State budget of the Republic of Croatia.
